Directed by zack snyder, the film follows a group of survivors who take refuge in a shopping mall following a virus outbreak that have turned infected humans into cannibalistic zombies. The remake and original both depict a handful of human survivors living in a shopping mall surrounded by swarms of zombies, but the details differ significantly. It's even more impressive for me, given that it's his first feature.
